Couple Break Into East Ridge Home; Tie Wrists Of 73-Year-Old Man

East Ridge Police are looking for a couple who broke into the home of an elderly East Ridge man and tied his wrists while ransacking his home on Sunday morning.

East Ridge Police responded to an address on Moseley Circle on a report of a home invasion at 10 a.m.

 

A white male and white female knocked on the door, then forced their way into the home.

The man was armed with a handgun.

 

They tied the man's wrists with zip ties before ransacking the home for “money and drugs.”

 

The pair fled when the victim’s son and his girlfriend arrived a short time later. They left in a newer silver Infiniti with Georgia Walker County partial tag TLE71. The car has tinted windows and an Alabama lanyard hanging from the rear view mirror.

 

The man was described as 25-35, 5’9" and 150 pounds, wearing a white and black ball cap and gray jacket.

 

The female is 25-35, 5’5", 125 pounds, blonde, wearing a burgundy shirt and jeans and carrying a bright orange backpack.
