Erlanger's $40,000 Ambulance ATV Stolen From Finley Stadium

  • Tuesday, October 3, 2017

A $40,000 ATV rigged up by Erlanger Health System to serve as an all-terrain ambulance has been stolen from Finley Stadium.

Robbie Tester, Life Force director, said the ATV ambulance was at the stadium for the Mocs' home game on Sept. 16, but was nowhere to be found when crews showed up for the game last Saturday.

Mr. Tester said crews at Finley Stadium believe that someone came inside the gate when it was open during work hours and took it without being noticed.

He said it is kept at the stadium during football season for use in case of a serious injury to a player.

The ATV ambulance is outfitted with a $6,000 stretcher and an ambulance bed costing over $5,000.

The theft has been reported to the Chattanooga Police Department.

Mr. Tester said there is some insurance in place, but probably it would only cover the ATV itself and not the stretcher and ambulance bed.
