Boulder Tumbles Onto Scenic Highway Near Ruby Falls

A boulder estimated to weigh 20 tons tumbled onto Scenic Highway near Ruby Falls on Thursday night.

A section of the road up Lookout Mountain was closed as efforts were underway to move the large rock.

A rotted tree fell near the boulder, dislodging it. Some nearby power lines were knocked down as well.

No injuries were reported.

Motorists were advised to take alternate routes.
