Firefighters Extinguish House Fire In Hixson

 Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire in Hixson on Tuesday night and were able to extinguish the blaze.
 
The fire was at 780 Munro Road.
 
Units responded at 8:45 p.m., finding smoke showing. They located a working fire in a bedroom of the residence.
 
It took four fire companies 20 minutes to get the fire under control. No one was home during the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
 
The damage was assessed at approximately $30,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
