Jordan Rawls filled in for Therren Shelton-Szmidt for a second straight game Saturday and scored 11 points in Hamilton Heights’ 84-37 victory over Charlotte Basketball Academy in Greenville, South Carolina.
Rawls, one of only two players from Chattanooga on the Hawks’ roster, made three of the team’s nine 3-pointers. C.J. Massengill, the other local on the squad, scored four points.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander paced Hamilton Heights with 21 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 17.
Saturday’s win winds up the Hawks’ regular season and they will head into the postseason with a 25-6 record. Coach Zach Ferrell’s Hawks will return home and prepare for the National Association of Christian Athletes national tournament at Ft. Bluff, north of Dayton on Feb. 22-24.
Hamilton Heights is also scheduled to participate in the USA National Prep tournament on March 2-4 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
