Leslie Kay Vinson, 45, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at a local hospital.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and went on to having her own daycare, where she cared for many kids over the years. She also served faithfully at Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. Leslie touched many lives with her love, care and beautiful smile.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Vinson.

She is survived by her mother, Ovella Sorrells; daughter, Jessica Terrell; brothers, Rick (Paula) Marble, Jeffery Vinson and Dana (Greta) Vinson; and A Very Special Friend. 

We will celebrate her life at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, at Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens - East.

The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
