Students from McCallie and GPS will perform Pippin for the 2017 spring musical April 7-9 at Frierson Theater
The 2017 GPS/McCallie Spring Musical is scheduled for April 7-9 at Frierson Theater on the GPS campus.
This year, students will perform Pippin, putting on a re-imagining of the 1972 Broadway musical from the creator of Wicked and Godspell.
Review for Pippin:
In Pippin the ensemble cast of students tells the story of Prince Pippin, and his struggle to find his “Corner of the Sky."
Pippin has been popular on Broadway since its debut more than 40 years ago, and its 2013 revival introduced this special show to a new generation of fans. The GPS/McCallie production promises to capture the show’s magic and bring it to life in Chattanooga for three performances.
Pippin will be performed at 7 p.m. on April 7 and 8 before closing with a 2 p.m. matinee performance Sunday, April 9.
