UTC Softball Travels To ETSU For Weekend Series

The Chattanooga Mocs softball team will head north on I-75 this weekend for a key three-game Southern Conference series against ETSU in Johnson City on Friday and Saturday.

Friday will feature a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. and Saturday will be a single game with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Mocs are coming off a 7-4 victory over Western Carolina on Sunday and hold a 12-27 overall record while playing to a 2-7 mark in SoCon action. ETSU is currently 17-19, 3-3 in conference play.

East Tennessee State is coming off a 1-2 weekend after dropping a pair of games and picking up a win on the road against Samford. They took two of three home games against Mercer the weekend before, and now own a 3-3 SoCon record. The Bucs have allowed two runs or less in eight of their last thirteen games including five of the last six SoCon games. They're 6-2 in those eight games. Tiffany Laughren leads the Bucs with a .390 average and 12 doubles while Madison Ogle has a 3.06 ERA in 21 appearances, 17 starts.


ETSU plays its home games at Betty Basler Field on the campus of East Tennessee State. All three games of the series will be streamed live from the Bucs Sports Network.
