Melvin Chasteen
Melvin Chasteen, 80, of Soddy Daisy passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Mr. Chasteen was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Chasteen; parents, William and Exie Chasteen; brother, Leroy Chasteen.
Survivors include his daughters, Jan (Jimmy) Higdon and Cathy (Rodney) Smith; sons, Frankie (Lucia) Harvey and Chris (Kaite) Harvey; brother, Rev. Ellis (Emily) Chasteen; sister, Loretta Cagle; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Eddie Chasteen and Reverend Wayne Chasteen officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service time on Friday at the funeral home.
