Horace “Junior” Buckner, 77, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Friday April 28, 2017.
He was dearly loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Buckner Sr; children, Kimberly Mae Buckner and John David Buckner; and brother, James Edward Buckner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Vickie Buckner; children, Jim Vaughn (Stormy); 11 grandchildren; sister, Joyce Mantooth (Fred), of Crandall, GA; brother, Dewayne “Butch” Buckner, of Dalton, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday April 30, at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
The family will receive friends one hour prior on Sunday, from 2-3 p.m. service time.
Junior will be laid to rest on Monday May 1, at 11 a.m. at the Land’s Chapel Cemetery in Tellico Plains, TN.
