How Soon We Forget

How soon we forget. I have searched in vain to find an article about our troops and their sacrifices on the beaches at Normandy, France. The cartoon Mallard Fillmore was the only mention in today's New York Times, parent of the Chattanooga Times Free Press, and no mention on the Chattanoogan.

There is a well deserved recognition of the July run for the servicemen killed in the attack at Amnicola. For that I am grateful, but it pains me to see that the greatest generation is slowly being shown the door by the news media.

Unfortunately, the local paper can only print articles with bylines from NYT or the Associated Press and a smathering of McClatchey or an irrelevant paper, all spewing anti-Trump propaganda with no mention of Obama's spying or Hillary's problems that actually began at the Rose Law Firm.

Some say old news, but I say those who don't stay abreast of matters relating to core values of this country will forever remain ignorant of history.

CTFP, write all you want to about Trump or so-called global warming (debunked by Nobel Prize winning scientists and others). Just keep in mind that this area you serve voted to elect President Trump by a wide margin. You should keep that in mind when you decide to blast him. Otherwise, you will be just another bankrupt rag and join the others that Roy Exum wrote about.
