Juanita Cronan Owens, 72, of Benton went home to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 22, 2017. She was born August 24, 1944. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and attended Polk County High School. Mrs. Owens worked at Bradley Healthcare for 25 years. She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Sr. and Annie Viola Morgan Cronan; brother, William (Billy) Cronan, Jr.; sister, Diane Cronan Cross; grandparents, Bert and Daisy Haulk Morgan, Harvey and Lillie Mae Burns Cronan.
She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Jimmy Owens; daughters, Penny (Terry) Stonecipher, Melissa Andies and boyfriend Robert Bryson; granddaughters, Jacqueline (Corby) Green of Alamogordo, NM and Lauren Stonecipher; great-grandchildren, Brieliegh Green and twin sister Braeliegh Green, Adam Shawn Lee Bremmer, Jr. and Brayden Green; sisters, Daisy (Junior) Gatlin and Alene Powers; brothers, H. B. (Alene) Cronan and Joe (Carolyn) Cronan. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephew, family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, July 24 at Higgins Funeral Home in Benton with the Reverend Earl Gentry and Reverend Jake Brown officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25 in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Monday, July 24 at the funeral home prior to the service.
Her nephews, Mike Cronan, Stephen Cronan, Joe Cronan, Jr., Paul Cronan, William Bates, and Johnathan Bates, will serve as pallbearers.
