The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team prides itself on its work on and off the course. Wes Gosselin, Stuart Thomas and Phillip Hickam were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America Wednesday morning.
It is the second time in Gosselin's career that the Knoxville native earned the honor adding to his 2016 mention. Gosselin finished his academic career with a sterling 3.83 GPA earning degrees in Psychology (May 2016) and Exercise Science (May 2017).
It's the first for Thomas and Hickam, both juniors in eligibility in 2017.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must..

Gosselin led the squad with a 72.31 scoring average. The two-time All-Southern Conference performer captured his second career win at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate in February. His 73.13 career stroke mark is fifth-best in school history, while his +1.35 score vs. par ranks only behind former All-America Scholar Stephan Jaeger (0.51, 2009-12).
Thomas was fourth on the team with a 74.14 scoring average. He was one of four with double-figure par or better rounds with 12 including three in the 60s. Hickam posted a 74.97 mark in his first year with the squad. His three top 10s tied Gosselin and Etienne Brault for the team lead.
They join Derek Rende (2009, 2010) and Jaeger (2011, 2012) on the program's list of All-America Scholars. Gosselin is currently playing professionally with conditional status on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Canada).
