C.R. “Bubba” Simmons has been named High School Athletic Director at Silverdale Baptist Academy. Coach Simmons brings with him over thirty years of teaching, coaching, administrative, and athletic director experience. He comes to Silverdale from Gordon Lee High School in Chickamauga, GA where he served as the High School Principal the last three years.

In the six years prior, Coach Simmons served as the Athletic Director for McCallie School, where he was the TSSAA Athletic Director of the Year (2010-2011).

Mrs. Becky Hansard, Silverdale’s Head of School, said, “We are blessed by the passion, excitement, and experience that Coach Simmons will bring to Silverdale. As we make the move to Division II this year, we believe that the experience Coach Simmons brings to the table will provide great insight and leadership as we navigate this move in order to be the most effective for our student athletes. It was his infectious desire to help disciple students for God’s glory both in and out of competition that placed him as the top candidate.”
