A man who was arrested for a string of burglaries in North Chattanooga is no stranger to police.

Ricky Lebron Davis first went into adult custody in March of 2004 when he was 19. He was arrested on charges of theft over $1,000 and evading arrest.

Davis was picked up for aggravated robbery in July of 2005.

Other charges he faced about the same time included six counts of aggravated burglary and six charges of theft.

Davis was also arrested for rape in August of 2006. It was later dismissed.

He was charged with robbery, a couple of more burglaries and another theft around the same time.

In July of 2010, Davis was again facing an aggravated robbery charge as well as aggravated burglary and theft. He was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Ricky Lebron Davis, at around the same time in 2010, was arrested for attempted first-degree murder, another aggravated robbery, theft and aggravated burglary. The attempted murder was dismissed.Da

Three years later, police took Davis in for a new string of burglaries and thefts as well as aggravated criminal trespass.

Through it all, Davis got one four-year prison sentence for burglaries in January 2006, then a five-year sentence in October 2008 for more break-ins.

Davis got a three-year sentence in 2014 for more burglaries, but it was suspended.

Recently, police said it was learned that Davis had been driving around in a white Nissan Altima, stopping and breaking into vehicles.

An investigator said he was able to get pictures of the vehicle and Davis during some of the auto burglaries.

He also located pawn tickets by Davis where he had pawned items with an identification that may have contained an altered date of birth. He was able to verify that it was the same Ricky Lebron Davis.

The pawn ticket, along with other items, showed that he pawned two TVs and a PlayStation 4 on Sept. 6. The detective located a burglary where TVs and a PlayStation 4 were taken on the same date on Fairmount Street.

A witness from Fairmount Street reported seeing a man with the same physical description as Davis (including long dreads) as the offender who committed that break-in.

The same witness said Davis, who is now 31, was in a white Nissan Altima.

The victims in that burglary reported a loss of $1,720.
