Police said a man struck a woman at the parking lot of the Target on Gunbarrel Road, then left the scene.

Trin Villa Suttles III, 45, of Calhoun, Ga., was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, not giving a pedestrian the right of way, failure to render aid, failure to exercise due care and driving on a revoked license.

In the incident on Wednesday, police said a blue Volvo driven by Suttles was traveling through the Target parking lot when it made a left turn and hit a woman walking in the crosswalk toward the store.

The vehicle backed up and drove off.

A witness who got the tag number off the Volvo said a black male was driving.

The Volvo was registered to Vikki Moore, an employee of a nearby imaging center. The Volvo was found parked behind the center.

Ms. Moore said her friend, Trin Suttles, had a spare key to her vehicle. She called Suttles and he came to the center. He admitted being the driver of the car that struck the woman.

The woman who was hit was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
