Roach, Doris Elizabeth Bridges (Ringgold)

Doris Elizabeth Bridges Roach, 84, of Ringgold, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born to the late William Homer and Pearl Hullender Bridges in Blairsville, Ga., and has been a resident of Ringgold area for all of her life. She was a member and prayer warrior of Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle, and an employee of Candlewick Yarns for over 20 years.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husbands, Jesse Skiles and William “Bill” Roach; and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Wanda S Hammontree of Ringgold and Tony Lloyd (Jackie) Skiles of Rising Fawn; brothers, Tommy (Sheila) Bridges and Eugene (Jo) Bridges; sister Dimple (BS) Cook, all of Ringgold; four grandchildren; nne great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30 in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Justin Gazaway and Bro. Jim Hixon officiating. Interment will follow in Woodstation Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her church, Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle, in memory of Doris.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel - Ringgold.
