Sharon Kay McKinney Grover, 62, of Ringgold, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was born in Chattanooga to the late John Mitchell and Helen Hughes McKinney. She was a lifelong resident of the Northwest Georgia area, and a member of Newnan Springs Methodist Church. She was a former employee with Olan Mills Portraits in Chattanooga. She enjoyed being outdoors fishing, gardening, riding horses, chopping and splitting wood.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jo and Barbara Jean McKinney; and brothers, John Michael McKinney and Roger Wayne McKinney.
She is survived by her husband, David Grover; son, Gary Lee (Sandra) McKinney; grandchildren, Rebekah, Sam and Rachel Akers; beloved and cherished dog, Gizmo; sisters, Cindy (Steve) Garland, Eileen (Wayne) Phillips, all of Ringgold; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday morning, prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 in the chapel.
