Lawson Electric Plans New Operation In Large Warehouse On Dayton Boulevard

  • Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Lawson Electric is planning a new operation in a large warehouse on Dayton Boulevard.

The site is across from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Annex (former Kmart).

Ryan Crimmins, chairman of the company that dates to 1925, said it is running out of space at its long-time home on Bell Avenue. The bulk of the operation will remain there.

However, the new site will be used to pre-fabricate electrical systems. There will also be a lay-down yard for poles, wiring and other apparatus.

Mr. Crimmins said the building is well-suited for the company needs.

Eventually a two-story office is planned at the site.

Lawson Electric has 800 employees. There will be an additional 20 at the new location.
