James Walter Hughes, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018.
James was of the Baptist faith and retired from Pilgrim’s Pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest L., Sr. and Bessie M. Hughes; brothers, Forest L. Hughes, Jr. and Austin F. Hughes both of Chattanooga.
Those left to hold his memories dear are his siblings, Mary Braswell of Nashville, Margaret (James) McClendon and Ethel Louvenia Gordon both of Chattanooga; foster brother, Michael Stevens of Inskter, Michigan; girlfriend, Louise Whitener who passed one day after Mr. Hughes.
Mr. Hughes will lie in state from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the chapel of the funeral home.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the Highland Memorial Gardens.
