Freedoms Foundation Honors Summers, Germ, Kaylor, Cagle, Adkins, King, Hale, Pearson

The local chapter of the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge presented several awards at a meeting on Sunday.

Distinguished Citizen Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to Jerry Summers and John Germ.

Distinguished Military Veteran Awards went to Ray Adkins and Ruby Abbott Cagle.

Longtime Central High principal Finley King received the Distinguished Educator Award, and Diane Hale was presented the Distinguished Teacher Award.

Jane Kaylor received the Distinguished Volunteer Service Award for her work at the Ronald McDonald House.

Harold Pearson was given the Distinguished Chapter Member Award.

Those taking part in the meeting included Stephen and Gene Pike, Larry Henry, Valerie Copeland Rutledge, Michael Johnson and Steve Highlander.
