Cleveland State Community College's women's basketball team took on Motlow State for some TCCAA conference action at home on Friday. Motlow State defeated the Lady Cougars by a score of 73-57

Leading the Lady Cougars was Hannah Phillips who tallied 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks in the game. Britnay Gore also had a nice game, snagging a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Jordan Smith scored 12 points and snatched 7 rebounds while Kaitlin Crump dropped 8 points and 6 rebounds.

The game was mainly controlled by Motlow State as they held the lead all game. The Lady Cougars showed flashes of a potential run but ultimately could not overcome Motlow's tall lead. The loss now puts the Lady Cougars record at 2-8 (1-3).

Up next for the Lady Cougars is a home match against Volunteer State Community College on Saturday, December 8th at 4:00 PM.
