David Lee Cates, 75, of Whitwell, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edley Lee and Arrie Virgie Cates; and sister, Edna Sue Eggert.
Those left to cherish his memories are two children, Mike (Samantha) Cates of Whitwell and Cathy Cates of Chattanooga; two sisters, Betty (Zeke) Tate and Mary Tate Campbell; brother, William (Patricia) Cates, all of Whitwell; granddaughter, Kayla (Mickey) Perry; and nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, March 19, with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Red Hill Cemetery.
