Mary Agnes Blanton Mitchell, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, in a local healthcare facility.
She was formerly employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Edward Blanton, Sr. Survivors include brothers, Edward (Margaret) Blanton, Jr. of Chattanooga and Le-Bron (Fletrice) Blanton of Marietta, GA; sister, Vivian Blanton Bonaparte of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Jacqueline (Christopher) Graham, Monita (Eric) Cox both of Chattanooga and Charlotte Jada Hubbard of Atlanta; nephews, Victor (Shelia) Blanton of Powder Springs, GA, James (D’Andrea) Blanton of Douglasville, GA, and Corey (Colette) Blanton of Roswell, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state Wednesday, March 28, 2018 after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronald King as the eulogist.
Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery.
