Marva Mitchell Parrish
Marva Mitchell Parrish, 68, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
Marva was a member of The House of God Church in South Pittsburg. She volunteered every year with her church at the Cornbread Festival for Cornbread Alley. She enjoyed listening to music and singing, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Lane and Helen Mitchell; sister, Clarice Elizabeth White; and step-son, Ben Parrish.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kimberly Matthews and Jacqueline Middlebrooks; step-children, Robert Parrish III, Kenneth Parrish, Tonya Parrish and Corey Parrish; sisters, Pauline Armstrong and Charlsie Bynum; grandchildren, Thomas Matthews Jr., Da`kota Matthews, Aspen Matthews, Aalijah Middlebrooks, Aadyson Middlebrooks, Ben Parrish Jr. and Anthony Parrish; dear cousin, Charles "Rusty" Ikard; and special friend, Johnnie Ware.
Visitation will be at Tate Funeral Home on Friday, April 20, from 6-8 p.m. CST.
Funeral services will be conducted at The House of God Church in South Pittsburg, TN, Saturday, April 21, at 1 p.m. CST with Elder William Carter Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Jasper.
