Sharron Arnold
Sharron Dewon Arnold has been charged in an incident in which police said gang members helped themselves to an AR-15 assault rifle.
Arnold, 30, of 2435 Leann Circle, is charged with aggravated robbery.
The robbery happened on Feb. 23 at 2411 Leann Circle.
One man said he was sitting in another man's driveway at that address when three black males arrived in a green, mid-90s Nissan. The man said he knew one of the group as "Sharron."
He said Sharron had knowledge that he had recently purchased an AR-15.
The three males asked to see the rifle. The man said he agreed to let them inspect it.
One of the trio told him he wasn't going to get the gun back as he turned and walked away with the weapon. When the man asked for the rifle back, one of the males displayed a semi-automatic black pistol with an extended magazine and pointed it at them.
The man said, "Come and get it."
The gun owner said he was afraid of being shot so he did not try to retrieve the weapon.
The three males got into the green Nissan and left.
The man said he had mentioned having the gun in a conversation with Arnold at the Neighborhood Walmart on Shallowford Road.
The rifle included a scope and a home-made sling.
The man picked Arnold from a photo lineup.
He said at least two of the three are gang members.
