The Dalton Police Department is seeking the identity of two thieves, after a large amount of pricey cologne and perfume was stolen from an area drug store for the second time in two months. The two suspects were recorded on store surveillance and appear to be the same individuals from a previous case.
The most recent incident happened on April 24, at the Walgreen’s at 1247 Walnut Ave., the same store that was ripped off the first time. At around 2:45 p.m., a black male and black female entered the store together and went to the perfume and cologne area which was unattended. The male then used a key to unlock the display case, just as happened in the Feb. 27, incident in the same store.
The pair then grabbed several bottles of cologne and perfume valued at a total of approximately $400 and left the store. The thieves in the February case made off with more than $1,400 worth of cologne.
The suspects were a heavyset black woman wearing a navy blue jacket over a white shirt and a black male wearing a Nike baseball cap and a navy blue jacket over a collared shirt.
Anyone who recognizes these individuals or has information on these crimes is asked to contact Detective Brian Shirley at 706-278-9085 extension 9189.
