Mary Jane Henley, 87, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018.

She was a native of McMinn County but lived most of her life in Hamilton County. Mary was of the Christian faith, and retired from Belk’s after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn Jackson Simpson, Sr. and Effie Emaline Simpson; husband, William D. Henley; two sisters, Pauline Price and Frances Price; three brothers, W.J., William and John Simpson.

She is survived by her brother, Joe (Linda) Simpson of Niota, Tn; sisters, Nelda Myers and 
Dorothy Lane both of Sweetwater, Tn., and Sue (Fred) Welch of Cartersville, Ga.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home on Highway 58. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Scotty Bales officiating.

Ms. Henley will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery with her husband.
