Baylor, GPS, CCS, Signal Mountain Advance to Tennis State Championship

The Baylor and GPS girls tennis teams advanced to the Division II-AA Spring Fling state championship on Tuesday.   They will face off for the state title Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. in Murfreesboro.  Baylor seeks irs eight straight state championship.

Baylor beat Harpeth Hall 4-0 on Tuesday and GPS beat Hutchison 4-1.  

The CCS girls beat CAK 4-1 and advanced to the state title game in D-II A.  CCS will meet defending champion Knox Webb, who beat St. Andrews-Sewanee, 4-0, on Wednesday morning for the state championship.  

The Signal Mountain girls advanced in the D-I A semifinals and will play L&M Stem School for the Spring Fling state championship on Wednesday.

In the D-II AA boys state tourney, Baylor defeated MUS, 4-2, and MBA stopped McCallie, 4-0, in the semifinals. Baylor meets MBA Wednesday for the championship.

In D-I A boys semis, Trinity Christian defeated 2017 state runner-up Signal Mountain, 4-0,and will meet L&M Stem Wednesday for the title.
