  • Wednesday, May 23, 2018

The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help with identifying a woman who keyed a car that was parked at an apartment complex. The woman was recorded by surveillance at the property, but the victims say they do not know who she is.

The incident happened during the early morning hours on May 12, at the Underwood Lodge at 1306 Underwood Street. The victim told police that she parked her car shortly after midnight and then found that the paint on both sides of the car had been keyed when she returned shortly before 8 a.m.. The victim also said that a woman had opened the door to her room early that morning, but did not come inside.

An investigating Dalton officer was able to recover video of a white woman wearing a black t-shirt with a large skull on it walking around the victim’s car and apparently dragging an arm down both sides of the vehicle. The suspect then left in a dark-colored passenger car.

Anyone who recognizes this woman or has information about this crime is asked to contact Detective Aaron Simpson at 706 278-9085, ext. 9253.
