City Inspector Says Mosquito Problem Fixed At Randy Johnston Tire Store

  • Sunday, May 6, 2018

City Inspector Randy Ridge said mosquito problems at Mr. T's Tires on Lee Highway have been fixed.

As a result, City Judge Sherry Paty dismissed environmental charges brought against its owner, Randy Johnston.

Mr. Johnston was a recent candidate for register of deeds.

Mr. Ridge said all tires stacked at the site are now capped so there is no standing water where mosquitoes breed.

He also said the firm has signed a year's contract with a mosquito control firm that will spray the entire property every two weeks.

Several neighbors went before the City Council recently to complain about the problem.
