Daniel Lavern Arledge
A man registered as a violent sex offender has been charged with molesting a six-year-old girl.
Daniel Lavern Arledge, 67, is charged with aggravated sexual battery.
He was placed under a $50,000 bond.
The arrest was made after the girl was taken to Children's Hospital complaining about severe pain in her private area. She said Arledge had rubbed her there while her parents were not in the house.
Arledge denied molesting the girl.
He told police he is not under any restrictions because of being labeled a violent sex offender other than checking with his probation officer every three months.
