Chip Baker Campaign Manager Says He "Will Make A Full Recovery" From Illness

  • Thursday, July 12, 2018

The campaign manager for District 2 County Commission candidate Chip Baker said he "will make a full recovery" despite checking into the hospital recently.

Arch Trimble IV said, “After family vacation, Chip went in for a routine follow up.  The tests indicated that the internal infection had not completely subsided so his physicians hospitalized him for a few days of treatment.

"He will make a full recovery and looks forward to representing District 2 on the Hamilton County Commission.”

Mr. Baker, a former member of the County School Board, is the Republican candidate. He is also the executive director of Friends of the Festival, that operates the annual Riverbend Festival.

Elizabeth Baker is running as a Democrat.

Mr. Baker did not attend a recent forum.

Another is planned on July 22 at St. Luke United Methodist Church.
