Lonnie Junior Smith, 62, of Graysville, died on July 14, 2018, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton.

He was born March 28, 1956, in Dayton to the late Lonnie Poe Smith and Thelma Jo (Perry) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Richard Harold Smith, General Gleason Smith and Vincent Edwards Smith.

Lonnie lived in Rhea County all his life. He was a sheet rocker for more than 30 years. 

He is survived by his children: Donnie Smith, Jimmy Smith, Waynett (Smith) Andrew, Dewayne Author and Staun Singleton; his grandchildren: Thomas, Dylan, Veada, Tyler, Danielle, Lauren, Ashley and Gregory; his great-grandchildren: Tori Smith, Coby Frye and Kota Smith; and his brothers and sisters: Michael Smith, Jackie Smith, David Smith, Jessie Smith, James Smith, Carolyn Marsh and Violet Grogan.

A graveside funeral service for Lonnie will be held on Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. in the Buttram Cemetery in Dayton.
