Brian Kemp Wins GOP Runoff In Georgia Governor Race

  • Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp has won the Republican runoff for Governor of Georgia over r Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle.

He will face Democratic nominee Stacey Abrams in the fall.

Senator David Perdue said, "Congratulations to Brian Kemp on winning the Republican runoff for Governor of Georgia. We need a conservative leader like Brian to keep Georgia on track. We all know Stacey Abrams is diametrically opposed to everything that has made Georgia the best state in which to do business. Her big government policies would be disastrous for Georgia workers and businesses, and undermine our growing economy.

"We have to stop Stacey Abrams in November. Right now, it is critical for Georgia Republicans to come together in support of Brian and our entire Republican ticket. Brian Kemp has my full support, and I’m going to do all I can to help him get elected as our next Governor, and keep Georgia headed in the right direction."
