Angel Miller Speaks At Green Thumb Garden Club Aug. 27

  • Monday, August 6, 2018

Green Thumb Garden Club of Collegedale/Ooltewah will meet on Monday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m.

The speaker will be Angel Miller, owner of 2 Angels Mushroom Farm in Harrison.  Ms. Miller and her husband Michael enjoy growing over 20 species of gourmet mushrooms, which developed from their hobby of foraging edible wild mushrooms found while hiking.  Their farm also produces fruits, herbs, and vegetables--all of which supply restaurants in the Chattanooga and Nashville areas, as well as the Ooltewah Farmers Market each Thursday.

Ms. Miller will be presenting "The Fascinating Role of Kingdom Fungi Mushrooms" at the garden club meeting. It will be held at Greenbriar Cove Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Collegedale, Tennessee, 9650 Leyland Dr. in Ooltewah.
