Mary Davis
Mary Ruth Collins Davis, 96, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, in the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was retired from Collins Manufacturing. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. Davis; parents, John Pleas Collins and Mary Elizabeth Beaty Collins; son, James Darrell Davis; sisters, Mabel McCarter, Doris Stinnett, Meta Burger, and Nerva Gorbett; and brothers, Robert Collins, Herman Collins, and John “P” Pete Collins, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Green and husband J.C. of Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Davis; two grandchildren, Derrick Davis and Joe Green; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Davis and Haley Davis; brother, Joe Collins and wife Juliah; one sister-in-law, Faye Collins; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Todd Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Beaty Cemetery with Tom Collins, Mark Burger, Joe-Joe Collins, Jay Collins, Corey Collins, and Tim Stinnett as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home.
