Beverly Anderson
Beverly Anderson, 83, of Hixson, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 12, 2024.
She primarily enjoyed talking to and spending time with her myriad of family and friends – she never met a stranger. Bev was born and grew up having a happy childhood in Springfield, Ma. She met her husband, Ernest (Andy) Anderson who was stationed there in the Air Force there and then moved to Crossville, Tn. before coming to Chattanooga. She worked at J.C. Penney’s and then Huffaker Realty before retiring. Throughout the years her church families included Central Baptist, Red Bank Baptist and then Stuart Heights Baptist churches.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Andy Anderson; her parents, Charlie and Freda Couture of Springfield MA, and her brother Bobby Couture of Warner Robbins GA.
Remaining are her sons, Mike Anderson (Karen), Steve Anderson (Debbie), and her sister Jann Perkins (Chuck) and their children. Her four grandsons are Phillip Anderson (Karolina), Patrick Anderson (Ashley), Caleb Anderson (Molly Fisher) and Matt Anderson. She also regularly spent time with her great grandchildren Brayden, Briley, Emilia, Lucia, and Maya Anderson.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 19, from 3–5 p.m. followed by a service led by Rev. Bill Harvey at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Bible Village or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
