Pedestrian Falsely Claims They Were Hit By A Vehicle - And Other Collegedale Police Calls

Officers responded to a pedestrian struck in the 9400 block of Apison Pike. Officers arrived and a short investigation resulted in the individual admitting to not being struck by the vehicle. Officers took a property damage report after the same individual was found to have hit the vehicle he claimed that hit him.
 
A two-vehicle crash involving no injuries was reported in the 5900 block of Main Street.

A driver in the 9200 block of Apison Pike was misdemeanor cited for driving on a suspended license.

A traffic stop in the 5900 block of Main Street led to the driver getting arrested for felony possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

A citizen in the 3800 block of University Drive reported finding a tracker on their vehicle.
Officers took a report of this incident and are investigating. 

A driver in the 9200 block of Lee Highway resulted in the driver being issued a citation for driving on a suspended license, possession of a schedule VI drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers responded to an alarm in the 9600 block of Ooltewah Industrial Road. Everything checked ok.

A traffic stop in the 8900 block of Lee Highway resulted in the driver being cited for driving on a suspended license.

A Collegedale fugitive was picked up from the Bradley County Jail. He was booked on a warrant for previous driving charges.

Officers responded to reports of a horse in the road in the area of Standifer Gap Road and Deer Ridge Drive. Officers searched the area and did not locate anything.

A citizen called in stating that they were receiving inappropriate text messages. They were advised of their options.

Officers helped a citizen push their car out of the roadway in the 9500 block of Apison Pike.

Officers were dispatched to the 10600 block of Apison Pike on a report of 5 cows and a bull near the roadway. Officers located the elderly owner who was unable to wrangle the animals. Officers were able to enlist the help of a local cowboy to get the livestock away from the road.

Officers assisted a disabled driver on the railroad tracks in the 1000 block of Apison Pike.
Family members arrived and helped the individual get back on the road.

A minor two-vehicle crash was reported in the Walmart parking lot.

Officers responded to a report of an unconscious person in the Taco Bell Parking lot. Officers arrived and discovered that the individual was just tired and fell asleep in their vehicle.

Officers assisted Chattanooga in the search of the area of Lee Highway after Bojangles was robbed in the early morning.

Officers responded to an alarm in the 9200 block of Lee Highway. It was found to be accidental.

Officers responded to reports of smoke in the 9500 block of Salisbury Lane. Officers discovered a small controlled burn and everything was ok.

Officers located a vehicle that was suspected of having an intoxicated driver inside. After a brief investigation, officers found that the driver was not intoxicated and was released.

Walmart called officers after believing they witnessed a theft. After reviewing the video footage, it was determined that the individual was not stealing but made an honest mistake while scanning items.

A citizen reported finding a backpack and life jacket in the roadway. The items were taken by police and stowed until the owner comes to claim the property.

Officers received information about a possible sex offender in the area of the imagination station. Officers located the individual and discovered that they were a registered violent sex offender. The individual was arrested and charged with violation of sex offender requirements, possession of offender identification and criminal impersonation.

Officers responded to the 9500 block of Salisbury Lane after a citizen complained about a neighbor's home camera facing their residence. Officers documented the incident at the request of the complainant.
