Pharmacist For Over 50 Years And Owner Of East Lake Drug

Don Anderson, 95, late of East Ridge, when to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

He was the son of Jasper Donald Anderson Sr. and Julia Elizabeth (Thorne) Anderson of Dyer, Tn. Don was a pharmacist for over 50 years and retired from CVS. He was the owner of East Lake Drug. He served as president of the Chattanooga Hamilton County chapter of the Tennessee Pharmaceutical Society. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He and his wife Ann were very active members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church serving on many committees, they were members of the choir, and were faithful teachers and members of the Wesley Sunday School class. He delighted in serving coffee and donuts on Sunday morning and serving in any way he could.

Survivors include his sons, Donald D. (Alicia) Anderson and Rev. David G. (Carey) Anderson of Chattanooga and daughter, Marguerite Elizabeth Anderson of Birchwood. His grandchildren are Amelia Claire and Atticus Anderson of Trenton, Ga.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 21, at Chattanooga Funeral Home East on Moore Road from 4-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church on Monday, April 22, at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Josh Felton and Rev Dale Gilbert presiding.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Garden South. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Helping Hand fund at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 6314 East Brainerd Road, 423 892-6446.
