Air Pollution Board Seeking Public Comments

Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board (the Board) will receive public comments upon the application for the installation of the following air contaminant source located in Hamilton County, Tennessee.

Mueller Co. LLC 1401 Mueller Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, has proposed to replace an existing no bake production line with a new large casting production line. Increases in potential annual air pollutant emissions resulting from this installation are 18.2 tons of particulate matter, 1.4 tons of volatile organic compounds, 6.9 tons of nitrogen oxides, 5.8 tons of carbon monoxide, and 6.0 tons of sulfur dioxides. Anyone desiring to request a public hearing concerning this proposed permitting action should make that request in writing and deliver it to the Bureau Director at the above address by 4:30 pm, Friday, June 22, 2018. If a public hearing is requested, the hearing will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Bonny Oaks Corporate Center, 6125 Preservation Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37416.
