Edward Julius "Peter" Pace
Edward Julius "Peter" Pace, 76, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on April 2, 2024.
He was born on Aug. 8, 1947, in Chattanooga, to the late Evelyn Pace-Heard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a long time maintenance generalist for the Chattanooga Housing Authority.
Edward was educated in the Chattanooga City School System and during his career he also worked as a developmental therapist for the Orange Grove Center in Chattanooga.
He touched and improved the lives of so many while working in his professions.
He was a dear husband, father, son, and brother to his loved ones. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was an avid fisherman, competitive domino player, skilled bowler, great at shooting pool, and a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Edward was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents: Grady and Mamie Hathaway; brothers: Bobby and Terry Heard, and sister, Mary Terrell.
Edward is survived by his wife, Wanda King Pace of Chattanooga; daughters, Estella Pace-Thompson of Liberty, Mo., and Georgie Genell and Morowa Shamar King of Chattanooga; brother: Charles (Pinky) Scott of Waynesboro, Ga.; sister: Barbara (Larry) Sims of Chattanooga; grandchildren: Bobby Dixon, Jasmine Long and Layla Harris all of Chattanooga; and a host of nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, April 22, followed by a 1:30 p.m. graveside service at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
