Barbara Ann Hammond Cotton, 75, of Rossville, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012, in a local hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas. Mrs. Cotton retired from Chattanooga Freight after 20 plus years of service. She enjoyed reading, traveling, loved her family, and supported her grandchildren in the sports they participated in over the years.
Mrs. Cotton was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Spears and Margaret Ann Vincent Hammond.
Survivors are son, Michael G. (Denise Rothwell) Cotton, Newark, Delaware; daughters, Lorin C. (Frank) Pendley, Chickamauga, Ga., Dawn Malone, and her companion, Ronnie Presnell; brothers, Don (Sandra) Hammond, Ringgold, Ga., Fred (Linda) Hammond, Chattanooga, Jim (Liz) Hammond, Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren, Gabe Pendley, Garrett Pendley, Patrick O’Conner, Jennifer Wells and Wyatt Malone; one great-grandson, Christian Wells.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Sims officiating.
