Howard Brown Has Poetry Reading At ClearSpring Yoga Jan. 4

ClearSpring Yoga will host a reading by local author and yoga instructor, Howard Brown, at its studio on Friday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m.  

Mr. Brown will read and discuss selected poems from his recently published book, The Gossamer Nature of Random Things.  

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the reading, which the author will be happy to sign.  There will be wine served at the poetry reading at ClearSpring Yoga, at 17 North Market St. For more information call 266-3539.

Man Shot Thursday Morning When Suspects Attempt To Rob His Residence

Ryan Crowe, 22, was shot Thursday morning in the 600 block of Ashland Terrace, when suspects made entry into his residence and demanded money from him. A witness stated to police that while Mr. Crowe attempted to fight off the suspects, he was shot by one of them. In an opinion piece, 5/18/18, Rev. Josh Woodrow referred to me and my fellow School Board member, Joe Smith, as racists and white supremacists because we spoke out against busing.
