Here is the fishing report from the TWRA for March 6:

Center Hill:  Fishing is fair.  Water temperature is 51 degrees; lake is falling.  A few bass are being caught on jerkbaits and jigs, while fishing busted rock banks in 5-to-20 feet of water.  Crappie fishing is fair around docks with minnows in 10 feet of water.  Walleye fishing has been good near Webbs’ Camp while fishing jigs and minnows in 20-to-30 feet of water.

Cordell Hull:  Fishing is fair.  Water temperature is 52 degrees; lake is colored.  A few sauger are being caught near Gainesboro on jigs in 30-to-40 feet of water.  Bass fishing has been fair in the creeks on spinnerbaits and crankbaits in 5-to-10 feet of water.  A few crappie are being caught on minnows and jigs, while fishing stumps and laydown trees in 5-to-20 feet of water.

Chickamauga: The lake is at winter level, but up from previous levels.

55 degrees is the warmer hours surface temperature. Cooler air temperatures in recent days has cooled the lake. Bass were caught in recent days along river flats and primary creek flats on many baits. The most popular bait being tossed is the "rig". Crappie are being caught shallow in the sloughs and along the river bank. Minnows and jigs were being used for bait. Striped bass, white bass, and sauger were the targeted fish in the upper end. Jigs were the bait being used by the majority. Sauger were being caught along the bottom in the main channel and the banks were being fished for other species.

Dale Hollow: Fishing is good. Water temperature is near 50 degrees; lake is slowly rising.  Lots of smallmouth are being caught on swim baits, jigs and crankbaits in 5-to-20 feet of water, on tapered banks.  A few walleye are being caught above East Port, while fishing jigs in 5-to-20 feet of water in the channel.  Crappie fishing is fair, while fishing minnows around laydown brush in 10-to-15 feet of water.

Nickajack: The water temperature is 55 degrees in the warmer hours. Black bass were being caught in the tailwaters below Chickamauga Dam and in the lake. Largemouth were being caught most often along river flats downstream while using the "Rig". Shad and the previously mentioned bait were being used to target largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass. Striped bass and white bass were being caught in the same area. Crappie were being caught in the grass and near docks downstream. Still water was targeted for crappie upstream. Minnows and jigs were being used for bait. Catfish drifters were catching plenty of fish in the main channel while using all the normal meaty baits generally used for catfish.

Watts Bar: The lake is low, but normal for the date. Water temperature is 55 degrees during the warmer hours. Big bags of bass were caught on the "Rig". Secondary points and ledges were the target areas. Some crappie were caught along blowdowns in the secondary channels. Jigs and/or minnows were being used for bait. Some shallow sheltered crappie were being caught around docks. Sauger were being caught in the upper portion of the lake. Bouncing jigs along the bottom in the main channel will result in sauger and walleye catches. White bass and striped bass were being caught along the bank in the same area while using jigs.
