Wilson, Billy Joe Sr. (Tunnel Hill)

Billy Joe Wilson, Sr., 79, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Sisson Wilson; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Crump and Shelia Wilson; and brothers, M. L., Jimmy and Howard Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a member of Dogwood Valley Baptist Church and was retired from Shaw Industries as a truck driver with 33 years of service.

He is survived by four daughters & a son-in-law, Monica & James Wheeler, Patricia Wilson, Brenda Wilson and Bridgette Wilson, all of Tunnel Hill; son & daughter-in-law, Billy Joe, Jr. & Lori Wilson of Tunnel Hill; sister, Mary Perry of Winder, GA; grandchildren, Richard Pacheco, Rachel Ogle, Gabrielle Wilson, Shayna Wilson and Bethany Wilson; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service to honor Mr. Wilson’s life will be held Friday, January 4, at 2 p.m. at Dogwood Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Gentry, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Valley Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Pacheco, James Wheeler, Brad Ogle, Robert Gentry, Ken Dorsey and Rosendo Segundo.

The family will receive friends at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Thursday, January 3 from 5-9 p.m. 

Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Westside Chapel, Rocky Face, is in charge of local arrangements.


Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night.
