George Mason Adkison, 82, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2013.
He was retired from Chattanooga Housing Authority and was a former employee of Walmart.
He was preceded in death by parents, Mose and Annie Mae Adkison; all of his siblings, and grandson, George Mason Henson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kate Dillard-Adkison; daughters, Deloria Adkison and Carolyn Neal(Billy) of Chattanooga, Linda Darby of Fortworth, TX; grandchildren, Walter Johnson III (Likesha), Misty Dozier (Rodney), Tyler Johnson, Nylorac Hemphill (Cornelius), Mary Collins (Allen), Attenro Foster; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
