Lequan Bennett Arrested For Robbery

Chattanooga Police responded to a robbery on Wednesday, at approximately 9 a.m., at 5821 Lee Highway in the parking lot.  

Once on the scene, officers located the victim, Robert Johnson.  Mr. Johnson stated to officers and detectives that he had arrived to work, when he was approached by two black males and then maced by one of the suspects. Mr. Johnson stated that the suspects got away with a bank bag containing $3,000.  

Upon investigating the incident, detectives were able to identify and arrest Lequan Bennett for his role in the robbery.  

Mr. Johnson was treated by EMS at the scene, but was not transported.  

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
