Robert Upton
Robert Eugene Upton, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
He was preceded in death by a son, Craig E. Upton; grandson, Michael Garner; great-grandson, Draven Fleming; mother, Mary Paralee Campbell Upton and father, Millard Buren Upton.
Robert was born in Bridgeport, Al., and graduated from Central High School. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Robert was a machinist at Chattanooga Tufters.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jo Ann McDurmin Upton; son, Robert L. Upton and wife Pam; grandchildren, Tony Upton and Brooke Shirley; sisters, Mary Harper and Nancy Gee; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 12-2 and 4-8 p.m., and Sunday, from 12-2 p.m. at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the North Chapel.
Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
