3 Mocs Games To Broadcast On ESPN3

Monday, June 24, 2013

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will have three football games broadcast on ESPN3 in the fall, the Southern Conference announced on Monday.  The 2013 season will mark the third consecutive year the SoCon has partnered with ESPN3 to telecast league games.

UTC’s three games on ESPN3 are a part of an eight-week schedule that begins with Wofford at The Citadel on Sept. 7.  The Mocs first broadcast is Oct. 12 against Furman.  UTC will also be on ESPN3 on Nov. 9 against Wofford and Nov. 16 at Samford.

ESPN3 is available in approximately 75 million homes to fans who receive their Internet connection from an affiliated service provider.  The network is also available at no cost to 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel.  ESPN3 programming is also available to subscribers through Xbox LIVE and through the free WatchESPN app available on smartphones and tablets.  The WatchESPN app is now available through Apple TV.

Darren Goldwater returns to handle the play-by-play duties for the league’s telecasts.  The 2013-14 year will mark Goldwater’s third year on the conference package after three years as director of broadcasting and play-by-play announcer for The Citadel.

Veteran broadcaster Paul Maguire will handle the color commentary duties.  Maguire, who has called games at both the professional and collegiate levels, has more than 35 years of experience on air.  He has worked for ABC, NBC, ESPN and HDNet calling games for the NFL, CFL, USFL, UFL and college football.
